Consular Sections of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the United States provide consular services to citizens of all countries who are registered temporary or permanent residents of the United States. This includes persons in the United States for most reasons other than short-term travel i.e., family visits or tourism.
All citizens in the U.S. for short-term reasons, and without permanent residency in the U.S., must conduct their consular business with the consular section in, or assigned to, their home country.
Consular services include submition of non-visa forms, like marriage certificates, adoption forms, renunciation of citizenship, document requests, travel with or for animals, and some customs forms. Visa & Passport Services are also provided by the Consular Section.

All completed applications, forms, or Consular documents must be:
- submitted in person,
- by the person named on the documentions, and
- at the Consular Section that they are assigned (as determined by their state of residency).
- Third-party services are only allowed for submission of Service Visa and Diplomatic Visa types.
No appointment or prior arrangement is needed to submit a visa application or conduct consular services. We welcome walk-ins during consular section hours of 09:00am and 12:00pm (local time of the each section’s location) on Mondays through Fridays (except on Wednesdays).
Each family member 18 years or older and seeking an entry visa or consular service is required to submit an application and required documments in person. A parent or guardian may appear in person on behalf of children 17 years old and younger.
